The ChlorPlus carbon block cartridges help reduce sediment while providing greater chloramine performance capacities than granular carbon. They also significantly reduce the carbon fines found in many granular canisters.
Chloramine can exhaust your DI resin really quickly, so if your local water has chloramine you need to either prefilter using a chloramine carbon block and ideally a 2nd standard carbon block or GAC, or an ammonia reducing DI resin. Feel free to contact us for some options. If you are unsure if you have chloramine in your water, call your local water company and they are required to tell you.
